InterFM FIVE STARS Thursday #02

OP talk:
Ai-chan: Good evening! I'm Morning Musume's Takahashi Ai.
*Same FIVE STARS program introduction as always*

It’s begun since last week, Morning Musume Takahashi Ai's FIVE STARS. We’re now in second week and just now, maybe, I’m feeling more relaxed. Well, I would like to talk about a lot of things, Yoroshiku onegaishimasu. Then, please listen today’s first song: Takahashi Ai in Yume Kara Samete

FIVE STARS Thursday, presented by Morning Musume's Takahashi Ai. On this program, I want to talk about the things that I love, and continuing from last week's talk about the Western music that I like. There is one artist that I really like, Lady Gaga. Before that, please listen to this song: Lady Gaga in Just Dance

--------------------------------------

Lady Gaga - Just Dance

--------------------------------------

Ai-chan: The song just presented was Lady Gaga’s just dance. If I were to describe this artist’s appeal with one word, frankly, it would be “Genius”.

Ai-chan continues the talk about Lady Gaga. She wonders why although she and Lady Gaga are the same age, Lady Gaga is well known even in Japan, writes and composes her own songs, designs her own clothes that even gets the attention of other celebrities, etc.
Ai-chan got to know Lady Gaga while she was traveling for one of her PBs, a year or two ago, and Just Dance was really popular. It was played on the radio a lot, every time she was in a car. The “Just Dance” really got to her, although she didn’t even know who was singing.

Ai-chan: “When I was singing to myself, I didn’t know it was ‘Just Dance’, I thought she was saying ‘God damn’. ‘Ah, so girls say things like this too’. It came like a shock when I got to know that in reality it was ‘just dance’. I remember thinking: ‘Ah, so, it’s just dance’! Then, when we came back to Japan, in a concert, PA-san played this song while everyone was getting to their seats. Then, as soon as it ended, I said
-‘Who’s this??’ (she almost screamed).
-‘It’s a young celebrity called Lady Gaga’ ”
-‘I like this one’, and then he put it on my ipod. Even though I had it on my ipod, I bought the CD!”

Other songs she liked from the CD were Love game and Paparazzi. She thinks the promotion videos are really cool.

Ai-chan: “'Wah, they’re really spending money on it!', and the clothes/costumes were great too. I haven’t seen any of her live clips, but when it was on TV, I watched some. Well, not entirely, just a bit of it. I had only seen her PVs, so I only knew her “neat” side, but on the live, it was really intense. Like, she was shaking her head, saying 'Scream' (Ai-chan says this in English), 'Everybody scream!'" (now, in Japanese).

She, then, says she certainly wants to go to one of her live concerts, that cool girls are admired and that she wants to be told that she is cool too (cool as in kakkoii).

Ai-chan: “Among all Lady Gaga’s songs, I would like you to listen to my favorite song of her. Lady Gaga in Poker Face”

On the Five Stars corner, Ai-chan talks about her Family. Recently, they’re on a “Korean Boom”. Her mom has been into Korean dramas for some time, and always saying someone is cool, and now she’s into Ryu Shi-won (if I got it right). Although she lives in Fukui, she goes visit Ai-chan once in a while. When she does, Ai-chan can see she sympathizes with him. Also, Ai-chan hears a lot of Korean when she’s there. Her sister visits her once in a while too, and likes Korean drama, but she’s more into Tohoshinki. As for Ai-chan, she really likes Big Bang.

Ai-chan: “My mom’s into drama, my sister’s into Touhoushinki, and I like Big Bang, so Korean is all about the place.”

Ai-chan took some time to get into k-pop.

Ai-chan: "It wasn’t like everyone got into it at the same time. It’s like I lagged behind *laughs. I hear a lot of ‘Eh, only now?’".

Seems she got into k-pop after listening to a G-Dragon solo, and discovering he was on Big Bang, and then began to like it a lot. She got all of their CDs. Even her mom got surprised at how much she liked them. Also, Ai-chan says it would be good if one day she were able to speak Korean. When Momusu had their concert in korea, she wasn’t into k-pop yet, not even when she went with Gaki (+ both moms).

Ai-chan: “I would like to keep talking like this about things I’m into, and read mails from the listeners, so send a lot without hesitation, please. Address: five-ai@interfm.jp”

ED talk:
Ai-chan: "Morning Musume's Takahashi Ai presented FIVE STARS. It’s time to part now. I really was in more of a “free” mood. When I’m speaking like this, I tend to talk fast, so I need to correct? Crop? Not crop *laughs, correct this. I would like to talk slowly as to be able to convey a lot of things."

Concert tour promotion.

Ai-chan: “Then, let’s meet again next Thursday! Bai bai!”
